Access Control &
CCTV Security Technician

Location: Emmaus, PA  

Job Type: Full-Time  

 

Our team seeks a motivated, knowledgeable, and talented Access Control & CCTV Security Technician to provide the installation and configuration of enterprise-wide physical security projects. You will be an integral part of the team and will aid the company in achieving its mission of protecting the people, facilities, and assets of our clients.

 

Local commutable candidates to the Lehigh Valley, PA Only (No 3rd party applications)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

​

  • Installation, service, troubleshooting, and programming of commercial / enterprise-wide access control systems, IP CCTV systems, wireless networks and intrusion detection systems

  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction 

  • Provide the optimized view and function of security cameras 

  • Testing / troubleshooting network, hardware, and software issues 

  • Rotation of after-hours / on-call duty 

  • Assist post-sales engineering / project management as necessary with technical issues / redesigns 

  • Complete internal projects as assigned 

  • Assist operations team with I.T. field support 

  • Maintain detailed and accurate notations of configuration management of client sites.

  • Cultivate client relationships into partnerships

Work Environment & Physical Demands 

​

  •  Regular and Timely Attendance 

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 4 hours) without a break

  • Position requires bending, twisting, stooping and climbing 

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally 

  • Position requires pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally

  • May be exposed to temperature changes, heights, small spaces including confined spaces

  • Ability to distinguish colors and use hands for repetitive fine manipulation frequently

  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, and mobile applications as part of daily workflow

  • Must pass initial and random substance abuse tests & background checks

Qualifications 

​

  • High school graduate or GED required. Technical or college degree in a related field preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience installing Access Control & CCTV systems in a commercial environment or similar equivalent combination of work experience

  • Strong mechanical skills 

  • Manufacturer certifications in Avigilon, Bosch, ICT preferred 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics 

  • Exceptional customer service skills 

  • Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints 

  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions 

  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources 

  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside the organization 

  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment

  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Other duties as required or assigned by company management 

  • Increase job knowledge through continuing education and professional development opportunities, attend conferences, and read professional industry publications
